    Coverlet – great summer weight. The color is unique (not navy, not periwinkle, not royal), but it is a great combo with the navy linen duvet. We bought it as an accent piece, but we've been using it exclusively during the hot summer months. It's the perfect weight.

    Really great blanket for California summers. Amazing for summers! It has a nice weight to it yet is very breathable. You're not cold or too hot. I got this specifically for summers and have problems sleeping at times due to getting too hot/cold. We're able to keep our house around 78 degrees and if weather permits open a window to get it cooler and I don't freeze. It's also nice and soft and comfortable. Not as soft as like a cashmere throw or something like that, but as a cotton blanket it's really nice.

    Ideal weight for a summer blanket. I've always struggled with having a good cover for sleeping in the summer. I live in the PNW where AC is not typical, so continuing to use a down comforter in the summer gets too hot. Yet using a flat sheet doesn't give me substantial enough weight to sleep comfortably. This seems to strike the ideal balance. Only thing I'm still figuring out is whether this is sufficient on its own or is best coupled with a flat sheet.

    Glad that I found Riley!. I am very happy with this coverlet. It is very light but that is just what we were looking for. We live in the South and on most summer nights a sheet is enough but this will be perfect for spring and fall. Since I do not put a bedspread on everyday, I wanted something that looks nice. I tried one other brand and while it was softer, it looked unkept. It arrived very quickly and was packaged well.

    What a very great product. So well made.     Only negative thing I could say is I almost ordered the wrong shams from a different collection since that's what I saw under "similar products" – had to search through the website again to find the matching shams. I love this shade of green but I’m not sure I would call it “olive” since it doesn’t have that yellow-gray hue to it.     Love this coverlet! We have many, many cats and they have destroyed many, many blankets. Not this one! We have had it for a couple of months and it looks brand new! The bed is a major playground and this coverlet has been scratched and played on hard every day and not one snag has appeared. When received it I washed it in a free and clear detergent (which I recommend) Heavy detergents with strong smells I wouldn’t recommend using on this product but anywho it held up well in the wash on cold delicate cycle.     This is a nice lightweight coverlet, but its dimensions are odd. On my king size bed, the king coverlet is too long top to bottom and a bit short on the sides. The oatmeal color is different from my oatmeal Riley spa towels too.

    Great summer blanket but not dog-resistant. I got this for a light summer blanket- it fits the bill there perfectly. It is light, looks good and does well in the laundry. However, we had it less than a month before my dog put a small hole in it (I assume with his nail). So I can’t recommend it if a dog sleeps on your bed but if not, I would highly recommend (hence the middle of the road stars)

    It grew on me. The cotton is great quality, very breathable and perfect for sleeping in 75 degrees in the house. The feel is stiffer rather than soft, and the color selection wasn't ideal or on trend. Sand is a very standard beige, greenish undertone not yellow or red. But I can't imagine sleeping without it so there you go.

    Just what I'd been searching for!. Have had this a few months now here in Northern California and we are perfectly happy. This king coverlet is long enough to tuck into our bed frame at the bottom and still come all the way up to cover our necks. Most kings do not have that extra 6 inches or so of length and we had looked for a long while to find the larger size. Beyond the fit, we love the lightweight and just the right warmth for 6 month comfort for folks who sleep hot and who keep the windows and fan going overnight. True navy is pleasant — neither too gray nor too purple.

    Perfect for the summer!. I decided to get one of these on the basis of a NYTimes Wirecutter recommendation and liked it so much I got another. It's the first cotton blanket that I don't end up throwing off half way through the night because I'm too hot. I live in Boston where nights can be warm but they often cool down enough so I don't have to use the A/C, but it's warm enough so most cotton blankets seem heavy and hot. The texture of the coverlet is both soft and attractive. I've had it about a year and so far it shows no signs of wear, nor did it shrink much, if at all, in the wash (cold water). I'd definitely recommend it!

    Good lightweight summer quilt, but "spice" = mauve. The NYT Wirecutter was right when it recommended this blanket for warm summer nights. It's a great light weight and the material feels like it will hold up well. I ordered the coverlet in "spice," which looked like a burnt umber or dusty orange color online. In person, the color is much more…pink. In fact, I would describe it as mauve, which is a color either one really wants or doesn't. This makes me wonder if other hues are different than shown online as well. For example, if the "olive" blanket was more sage and less of the odd pine forest green shown, I probably would have chosen that instead. Regardless, our "spice" coverlet has already been washed and too late to return for something that may or may not be the color shown online.

    I needed a new blanket to replace a worn, cotton thermal blanket I had been using for years. When I saw the Coverlet reviewed by Wirecutter, I checked it out immediately and purchased it in "silver"–which is kind of a light, bright shade of grey. It's lovely–and comfy!     Perfect except for size. Love this coverlet. It’s lightweight yet very soft and cozy. Color perfect. Love it! The only problem I have with it is that it is HUGE. I ordered a full/queen for my full size bed and it hangs all the way to the floor on both sides and is too much to tuck under. It actually fits my king bed, which is not where I want it. I wish companies still made true ‘full size’’ bedding.
