Description
Crafted in Portugal with 100% long-staple cotton, a 2-ply construction makes these towels as durable and absorbent as they are elegant. Our spa towel features a special, hand-crafted binding along the edge, giving a distinct, posh design. As part of this process, the spa towel is pre-washed in order to achieve long-lasting dimension stability.
We added a handy locker loop to our towels, so you can easily hang it to dry.
Low linting fibers mean that your favorite towel is still there after you wash it.
Our bath towels are Certified STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® #18.HUS.35124 by Hohenstein – which means our source materials are tested for harmful chemicals and substances. We adhere to the highest standards to protect you and the environment.

Loved my towels!. i was beyond impressed with my first Riley experience. First of all, my towels came very incredibly quickly. The product was beautifully packaged and even came with a handwritten note from the company! The towels themselves were super soft yet absorbent. I‰ЫЄve purchased towels from fancy retail stores and the quality of these is much better. My six year old son won‰ЫЄt use any other towels – he says it‰ЫЄs like drying off with a cloud. I can‰ЫЄt recommend Riley enough!

Major for sweaty people. I am always profusely sweating in the summer and so I bring the hand towel with me everywhere I go and it's such a lifesaver. Not only is it soft on your face (you only have one, protect it), but it's really cute with my monogram on it. Everyone always compliments me on my sweat towel. I love the edging, and the hooks are a great touch—especially on the wash cloths and hand towels. The towels do great in the wash, and it seems like they will last a long time. The thistle color is slightly lighter than expected—but I love it!
Riley has great customer service, a great return policy, and they go the extra mile with details like a hand-written note thanking me for my purchase.
There was a promotion going on when I bought the towels and so I received a free, monogramed robe. The robe is *very* awesome.

I was a bit worried that they wouldn't dry that fast, but so far they actually dry very well, albeit not as fast as my brothers waffle knits (but those aren't nearly as comfy, they just dry fast). Honestly, these are the best towels I've ever used (assuming they hold up over time, which I have no doubt they will). The only nicer towels I've ever used cost 5X as much. And for comparable comfort and a much lower price, you'd be crazy not to buy these instead. I'm going to buy sets for my whole family. It's a towel year I guess haha.

After reading about these towels on the Wirecutter, I decided to give them a try. They're wonderful so far. They're probably the best made towels that I've ever bought. The fabric is soft without being too thick, and the towels seem to be surviving the washing machine quite well. I like the fact that these towels can be air dried, too. It doesn't take too long, and the fabric doesn't get brittle the way other air-dried towels have gotten.

The Holy Grail of Towels. We’ve been on the hunt for the PERFECT towels for months. Criteria: bath sheet, soft yet rough, dries quickly. We went through three iterations of other brands (too fluffy, too thin, moved water around instead of actually removing it from our bodies), then decided to try these. I mean, I understand that it’s just a towel, but these are life changing.
First, the bath sheet could double as a blanket on a twin bed because it’s HUGE. Second, the feel is thick and soft, but not fluffy and annoying such that it comes off in a cloud after every shower. Third, they are absorbent AND dry quickly. Now, I don’t know how long the tiny little hanging loop will hold up given the size of this beast towel, but if that’s the worst thing, we’ll take it. Oh, and it would be nice if the retail tag wasn’t looped IN to the towel, because removing it was a pain and pulled out a few towel loops. Just some friendly improvement feedback.
But other than that, this the holy grail of towels – BUY IT!

The perfect towel. I love this towels so much. I've been searching for one that isn't super thick, yet still absorbent and has a substantial weight, and this fits the bill. More importantly, I wanted a towel that doesn't shed. I always put lotion on from head to toe immediately after drying off, so when a towel sheds even a little it's so gross when I rub in the lotion over top of those tiny fibers on my skin. This towel has zero shed!!! I've even tried a few that are in the same price range as these with the same zero twist long-staple cotton, and some of those shed worse than cheap towels. Oh, and the loop is a nice added bonus as well, so it doesn't fall off my over-the-door hooks. These are the absolute best for me, but they are expensive for me to buy all at once so I'll buy a couple each year until I replace all my inferior towels! It's worth it!

Great quality, with an advertising/waste tradeoff. The towels themselves are excellent quality! The stitching and rounded corners, loop for hanging, and absorbency/plushness balance is great. Unfortunately, so much of this is negated because there is a double tag sewn directly into the lining. 90% of people don't want a tag on their bath towels, because it's not part of the function of the towel. First of all It's itchy/scratchy. Second, it's just a brand treating you as a billboard to advertise their company. When I pay a premium for an item like this, I expect the advertising component to be eliminated, and for the company to respect the form and function of the product. You can't have your cake and eat it too – at least not more than once from me, in terms of purchasing anything again beyond the towels and washcloths I already got. I cut the tag off as close to the stitching as possible, but because I have white towels, now there is a fairly visible blue area left behind from the base of the tag threads (which are also still unraveling). Add to this the fact that apparently Riley ships a free tote bag with every shipment (mine came back to back because the washcloths were sold out until a few days after I got the bath towels), which is just corporate environmental waste at it's worst. I did not ask for a tote bag, nor would I ever want to use one that includes the word "luxury" in a tagline on it. So now I have two tote bags that I've sent off to a materials recycler. This could easily be fixed by including a checkbox for "Include a free tote bag with your order?" But Riley has chosen to manufacture and ship waste at will instead, again merely for the sake of advertising at their customers' expense.

Great color and feel, wraps all the way around me nicely much better than a normal towel… just not sure why the towel’s tag was attached with plastic clip when the other towels’ tags were attached with thread. Using scissors to cut the plastic clip and still pulled through and snagged the towel…minor issue, but with such a luxury towel, disappointing to have the more expensive item tagged with a plastic clip.

Pricey and defective; destroyed/ripped after less than 1 yr normal use. I bought two of these towels about a year ago, and then moved so didn't start using them until recently. Both towels were clearly defective. The fibers ripped down the middle in the same spot after ~six months of normal use by two adults. I contacted Customer Service, and they rejected my request to remedy the situation without even asking to see the pictures. So no, I wouldn't recommend purchasing these towels. If you're looking elsewhere, I did get a set at Costco more than 5 years ago for an actual fraction of the price of the Riley towels, and those still look brand new.

Great Towels but Several Snags!. These would be the perfect towels but for one reason – three of the 4 towels I bought had multiple snags after only one washing. I did not wash them with anything else, so this should not have happened. Unfortunately, I didn't closely examine each new towel before putting in the wash, so they might have been snagged straight out of the box. Otherwise, the towels are lovely. I chose Oatmeal color, and found it to be much lighter in person than on the website, but it is still very fresh and pretty. Both the hand towels and the bath sheets are sized very generously. Unfortunately, at this price point, I would probably not order again due to the snagging issue.

The biggest downside to these towels is they are often out of stock. We mix and match in our home (plush and spa) and we have to purchase them piecemeal because different items are out of stock. Nice but not the best. We did a lot of research before buying these towels. We bought 12 bath towels and 12 hand towels. At the beginning they didn’t dry very well. That has improved with washing but even after a few months and several washes they are definitely not the best drying towels by far. Also, about a third have really bad snagging, which never happened to us before and out washer and dryer are new and towels are only washed and dryer with other towels or bed sheets. They are soft and plush but would not safely buy again. Bath mats are good!

BIG DELICATE TOWELS. These are very nice towels and the hanging loop was a plus for my guest bath, which has hooks instead of a towel bar. Be sure to check the dimensions, as they are oversized and you’ll want to make sure they work in the space you need to hang them.
Also I find the suggestion they should be washed on delicate cycle a bit absurd. The spin on delicate cycle doesn’t extract much water so if you choose to wash on delicate they’re going to take forever to dry.

Spa bath towel. I am disappointed in these towels. They received such great reviews and I spent more than I normally would on towels. The first one I bought started coming apart soon after. There were loose threads scattered throughout. I still bought a second towel some months later hoping it was just a fluke. I immediately started having the same problem. This is my first online review. I am, frankly, astounded, that this happened as I have never had this problem with less expensive towels I have bought. I think I am being generous with three stars. I have been happy with other Riley purchases I have made ( sheets, duvet cover, robe and coverlet) but I will not be buying towels here again.

Absorbent and looks so pretty. I had bought a plush recommended bath towel that drove me crazy as it wasn't as absorbent and it took FOREVER TO DRY. This one I also saw recommended and figured I'd try it out – right out of the box it was beautiful! But then using it – it absorbs wonderfully and also dries fairly quickly. It also doesn't take 2 tumble cycles in my dryer like my last one! Cannot wait until the matching hand towels are in stock so I can buy more pieces. Love the loop – it looks so good just hanging!

Spa Plush Bath Towel Oatmeal. Before I purchased a set, I purchased one towel to see the texture. I received my spa bath towel a few days ago. It feels wonderful and I love the texture of the towel. It absorbs the water easily. I also love the modern look and shape and that it does not have anything on it. My previous towels were from Frontgate and I did not like the feel, took way too long to dry, and started tearing where it had a design. I will be ordering more of these towels.

I'm happy with these. I like towels without the band of non-absorbent material. Not only does this give more absorbent surface area, but they don't shrink unevenly, distorting the shape. These are generously sized, attractive, soft, and absorbent. I had one towel replaced because of a couple of loose threads I noticed right away. I sent a photo and Riley replaced the towel immediately. The color I chose works in one bathroom, but I'd like to see more choices for when I need to replace towels in the 2nd bathroom. Assuming they hold up over time, I would definitely order these again. More colors, please!

Happy with Riley Spa Towels. I was pleasantly surprised by these towels, which were my first purchase from Riley. They are just the right thickness, not overly fluffy or fussy, which also makes them quicker drying than other options. I appreciate the fact that there is no traditional "band" at either end of the towel, just a consistent look and feel no matter what part of the towel you are using. That's particularly nice on something like a hand towel, where I feel like this design gives you more "usable" space. If it were all up to me, I would like to see a slightly smaller bath towel option, but that just may be me showing my age as the market seems to be hurtling headlong into bigger and bigger bath towels over time.
