The sheet you’ll wish you owned as a shirt direct from Portugal. Our percale sheets are Wirecutter’s top pick – crisp, cool, and puts even the finest hotel sheets to shame. Sheet sets come with 1 fitted sheet and 2 pillowcases (king and California king sets come with king-size pillowcases). Option to add flat sheet. Wash before use and wash often, as our sheets get softer with every wash.
Description
Woven with 100% cotton these sheets feature a percale weave that makes them feel cool, soft and crisp. The fine percale construction also has a modern, matte coloring.
As a special touch, we added a dainty, color-on-color baratta stitch on our flat sheets and pillowcases to show you a little extra love.
Our pillowcases also feature a side-envelope closure that stays hidden from view, so the opening to your pillow will always be our little secret.

At first they are a bit stiff/rough but apparently that's normal for percale sheets and high end sheets in general. I did not know this but I'm glad I found that out before writing this review, or it would've been a very different review. Needless to say, they are veryyy well made. They feel very well made. Exactly what I was looking for. I bought a fitted queen sheet and pillowcases based on a recommendation and I couldn't be happier. The sheets are soft and comfortable as delivered and I expect them to get even more so after a few more washes. The nicest small touch is the sewn in labels telling you which is top/bottom or sides. Not a huge deal, but it definitely saves me that annoying moment where I inevitably would try to put the sheet on the wrong way.
Riley is now my default place for sheets and down the road I plan to try their other product lines.

My only complaint is that that corners of the fitted sheets don't hug the mattress as tight as I would like. They tend to ride up and have to be re-tucked under the mattress. But that's not a dealbreaker and I would definitely buy Riley again. Oh, and did I mention that Riley sheets come packaged very nicely and (not sure if this is always the case) mine came with a great re-usable tote bag?

It very thin and I'm wondering how it will hold up over time since the mattress is on an adjustable base and it does put more stress on the elastic. That's the reason for 4 stars instead of 5. I hope the elastic is upgraded at some point and I will certainly buy more of these sheets.

Outstanding quality bedding. We live in a warm to hot climate, and have been searching for percale sheets that will not make us hot during the night. We found that in these Riley percale sheets. They are excellent. So cool and so soft and so welcoming on the bed. The size is great also – they fit perfect on our oversize mattress. We have purchased multiple sets of these sheets to be sure we always have a fresh set ready to put on the bed. I am so glad I found Riley, not only for the excellent products, but also for the outstanding customer service.

Great Sheets But The Color Is Not Accurate. So I purchased a set of olive percale sheets in California King. The sheets themselves are great and seem to be very high quality. And I do actually like the color, however, they're not even close to what is reflected on the website. The sheets on the website are a much deeper and darker olive. The actual sheets are a pretty traditional color olive. My guess is the colors on the website have been enhanced a bit like many companies tend to do. So plan accordingly if you have your heart set on the color on the website.

Cool, Crisp, Soft – and Beautiful!. Being very particular about sheets, I used to favore high thread count sheets, usually sateen. I do not sleep well if I am hot, and thought I'd try Riley's percale sheets after reading about them in the NY Times's Wirecutter. Wow, there is a difference! They live up to my highest expectations in terms of cool comfort, and they surprised me in the beauty of the rich color. I bought king sheets in the Eucalyptus color, a "limited edition" color. The website, or the colors on my computer monitor, does not do the color justice. It is such a pretty shade of teal blue green that goes well with blue and with green in bedroom decor. It is comforting and cheerful for a sheet color. I have washed the percale sheets once, per the directions, and we have slept on them two nights. I believe the quality is outstanding, I am glad we tried them, and I trying to decide which color our next set will be.

Sheets both comfortable and resistant to my rescue dog’s nesting behavior. I have a large rescue dog – female lab (mostly) – abused in her first year and a “nester” who destroyed $10,000 leather sofa/love seat and every set of sheets (linen, cotton – everything!) I’ve owned over last eight years. Your incredibly comfortable sheets are the first sheets she didn’t tear holes into when she had an “anxiety” nesting episode. So the sheets remind me of those hung to dry in the sun with that childhood memory of crisp but soft sheets – and they survive Bella. Just ordered a second set after I witnessed the impervious nature of Riley sheets to Bella’s digging. Won’t abandon Bella like her first owner did but it’s nice to not be sewing holes in a new set of sheets.

Crispy. It's only my first night in them but since Riley is a premium brand with premium prices I thought I would write a quick review. I'm a hot sleeper so I can verify that these sheets run super cool and super super crispy. As I've only washed and slept in them once, they are not the softest yet but should soften up a bit as time goes on…classic Percale. Very nice quality, would recommend for those who like Percale weave.

Returned them – awful. I ordered these because they were the upgrade pick from wirecutter. Huge mistake. First of all the pillowcase is way too small. But worse than that were the sheets. I did wash them before using – and I understand they soften up with each wash. But I shouldn’t have to wash them multiple times to make them comfortable. I couldn’t sleep at all – had to get up and remake my bed with the old sheets – these were so scratchy. And really – they can’t make a pillowcase large enough to fit a standard pillow. Cool and crisp, but stains easily. I am a hot sleeper, and these sheets are really great for that. They’re thin, but I’m okay with that in exchange for keeping cool. However, for some reason, stain removers just don’t work on this fabric. I get occasional nosebleeds at night, and never had a problem getting the stains out with Shout on other brands’ sheets. These stained the first time, and literally nothing is getting the stain to budge. Barely even lightens it. That is very disappointing, considering the price.

Sad. I was so excited to get my new sheets from Riley. I threw them in the wash on cold and then the dryer on medium heat, they came out so wrinkled I almost cried. I had to iron them on high heat with steam, but still very wrinkled. I have never had this problem with other sheets. They do feel nice but do not look so great.

WOW!. I could not bring myself to fight with the high-priced, organic, percale sheets I've had for maybe 5 years anymore; not only were hard to get on, they are still so noisy we hated to move in bed! I researched and procrastinated and finally ordered a discontinued color from Riley as a test. They are wonderful. My first impression when opening the packaging was that there was NO CHEMICAL SMELL!!! After washing them twice , I dried them a bit too long and yes, they are wrinkly as percale is. I ironed the pillowcases, but only the first time. It smooths out as you use them. They are crisp and soft, just as the reviews state. They did not make a crazy amount of noise even the first night. The packaging is very nice, so nice I felt bad tossing it out.
I'm sold. Thank you people behind the brand.

Always wrinkled, not getting softer after 3+ months. I've given these a lot of chances and a lot of effort. I straighten them before they go into the dryer, take them out semi-damp and lay them flat, I've sprayed water after they're dry to try to get them to straighten out. The wrinkles are just epic, and they cause the sheets to be uncomfortable. I have 2 sets and rotate between them weekly over the last 3-4 months since I got them, and they just aren't getting any softer. The 2* is because they're clearly high quality in terms of fabric durability and stitching, but after spending $600 on sheets, I'm really regretting this purchase because I don't want to use them anymore.

Just Ok and Impossibly Wrinkled. I've had my percale sheet set for about a month now. They seem like decent quality but they are not soft. I usually get my sheets from Bloomingdales, and I wish I had stuck with what I know instead of following Wirecutter's advice. As advertised, the sheets (when ironed) feel like a "crisp button-down shirt," which is pleasant in theory, but in practice, who wants to go to bed in a giant work shirt? My real gripe is that the sheets come out of the dryer (even on low heat) looking like they've been slept in for a month. More wrinkled then any sheets I have ever owned. In fact, the wrinkles are so bad that they actually change the feel of the sheets, giving them an uncomfortable texture against your skin. I spent 2 hours the first week ironing them and another hour the following week steaming them. This is unsustainable unless you're Lady Mary from Downtown Abbey. I reached out to customer service, and they provided me with a multi-step process of what to do each time I wash them, including but not limited to, dying on low heat, buying drier balls, taking the sheets out "25% wet" and stretching them over my bed to let them air dry, then buying wrinkle release spray and spraying the sheets with product. Everyday sheets should not require this level of care simply to sleep on them as advertised. If you're not bothered by sleeping in a bed that looks and feels totally sloppy, then these sheets are just ok.

Favorite sheets. I love these sheets and won't buy anything else. The deep lagoon color is beautiful. The sheets are both soft and crisp. I'm not sure why people are saying they are wrinkled. That hasn't been an issue with the sheets I have. Excellent quality and I expect them to last for a long time.

Nice sheets but impossible to iron. These sheets are nice but the top sheet is impossible to iron. Tried the wrinkle treatment setting in my dryer, and highest steam setting on my iron. It’s an argument for forgoing the top sheet, unless you’d local highway department can loan you a steamroller.

Too small and my husband fount it a little scratchy. These sheets do wrinkle a bit, so maybe that is why I could not tuck them into the sides of my bed. I could only tuck them in the bottom. This is a plus for people who like to stick their foot out. I cannot imagine ironing my sheets, although some people choose to do that. I washed them twice before we put them on the bed. They were also a bit scratchy. I assumed they would soften with time, but I was unwilling to wait. They are good quality, and the color was beautiful, but since I could not tuck them in the sides, they are going back.

Shabby, low durability. Outlasted by an $80 set from Target. All the hype and reviews about these sheets got me to try them out, spending more than double any other set I've ever bought. The first day, after washing first, I honestly was expecting more. They were a comfortable weight, but not as soft as other 800 count sheets I own. After washing regularly, a few months later I started to notice discoloring and fading in the center of the sheet, and now a year on the discoloring is now 30-35% of the center of the fitted sheet. The sheet itself bunches randomly, and the sheet itself is starting to show signs of wear in the center.
Are they good sheets for $100? Perhaps, but I've replaced and shelved them for my old sheets from Target. Are they a good deal for $240? I'm certainly not going to buy another set.

terrible. we are not happy with these sheets at all. The pillow cases are a mess. they are so wrinkled and stiff. We had read some of the reviews that said the same but did not imagine it would be as bad as it is. We also figured the more we washed them the less they would wrinkle. We have been using them for over 3 months now and they have not gotten any softer. I am not looking to iron pillow cases so we will be replacing.

Nice sheets… but skimpy fit. Like the feel of these sheets, but the fitted sheet does not cover my 12" deep California king mattress. Not as colorfast as I would like, even using cold water delicate wash, lots of fading.

New Riley Home fan. I previously purchased bedding from Parachute but found that the fitted sheets were oddly too narrow and long for my mattress. I stumbled upon Riley and am in love with my new Percale sheets. They are crisp and soft at the same time. They also fit perfectly!

SueG. For the life of me, I don't understand these positive reviews. My percale sheets and pillow cases have been nothing but trouble. It requires the strength of a weightlifter to stretch and place the fitted sheet. My mattress is only 13 inches deep, well within the specifications for the fitted sheet. The cases are as scratchy as sand. The sheets and cases have always been washed in cool water and tumbled dry on low, but they just keep shrinking and certainly do not "soften up" (even though I have a whole-house water softener). As a senior with arthritis, I give up on trying to use these items. I cannot even get my geriatric dog to lie on the sheet — he prefers LL Bean. A frustrating and expensive lesson!

Best, coolest fabric–but not enough of it!. These are the best sheets I have ever owned, as far as the feel (hand?) of the material itself. The only thing stopping me from giving an absolutely gushing review is that the top sheet is insufficiently wide. Our mattress is not extraordinarily thick, & we use no topper, but the top sheet can barely be tucked in. I have no idea why Riley wouldn't make these sheets wider, but if you're bothered by this, or find yourself in a nightly tug-of-war, or are irritated by this when making the bed, then I can't recommend them. I hate to even say that, because the feeling–especially on a hot night–is so cooling. Another oddity–my second favorite sheets are Riley's linen set–& these are extraordinarily wide, & even the fitted sheet is huge. I wish you'd fix these issues, Riley.

"Percalefect"!. First time user and very pleased. Contour sheet elasticized for easy use and good fit, after just one pre wash reasonably smooth/comfortably crisp. Pillow cases have deep enough pocket so pillow stays in place. Looking forward to results after a few more washes. Superior to "comparable" brands at similar +/- price points.

Summer Time in LA and these are AMAZING!. My roommate bought a set in 2021 and she absolutely loved them, the bed became our guest room and we get compliments from our friends and family on them all the time. I decided to buy a set for myself. I'm a hot sleeper and I always find myself sweating in the middle of the night but these sheets are keeping me cool in the Los Angeles summer. I haven't had to turn on the air conditioning on just yet. The sheets are cool and crispy, I can't wait to see how they feel in the wintertime!

Quality but. The quality seems very good but I will have to wait and see how they hold up. I guess I have never had percale sheets before because these come out of dryer very wrinkled. Even on hot and right out of the dryer, I have never had sheets that wrinkle up so much. Now I know why some iron them. I will not do that. Also the king flat sheet seems to be very short on the sides. They do not tuck under. I do like the side/top bottom labels on the fitted sheet. Helpful

Wrinkles, wrinkles, wrinkles. I washed the sheets before putting them on my bed for the first time and followed the directions. The sheets came out of the dryer as a mass of wrinkles. I washed them again and experienced the same thing. I decided to go ahead and put them on the bed anyway, having to iron them first. They wrinkled again just from sleeping on them overnight. These sheets have been a major disappointment, especially after reading rave reviews.

Beautiful but so wrinkled. I’ve had percale sheets that with quick removal from a delicate dryer setting would smooth out when hung slightly damp. Not these sheets. I hate to say it but they are a wrinkly mess and I have no interest in ironing sheets.
