Thread count isn’t a thing, quality always IS. Our percale sheets, direct from Portugal, are the crispest, coolest sheets you’ve never slept on before. Wash before use and wash often, as our sheets get softer with every wash.
Description
Woven with 100% cotton, these sheets feature a percale weave that makes them feel cool and crisp. The percale construction also has a modern, matte coloring.
As a special touch, we added a dainty, color-on-color baratta stitch on our flat sheets to show you a little extra love.
Our bedding is Certified STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® #18.HUS.35124 by Hohenstein – which means our source materials are tested for harmful chemicals and substances. We adhere to the highest standards to protect you and the environment.

Just what I Was looking for. It's just what I was looking for. I hate slick sheets I love the crisp feel of cotton percale. This sheet is very crisp and a generous size. I got the King size. If you love crisp, not slick overly soft sheets like those very high thread count egyptian sheets, that are actually very very thin, you will like these sheets.

Never buy elsewhere. Proof that thread counts aren't everything, these sheets are a great value. A little stiff at first (they are shipped starched), very comfortable after a couple of usages and laundering. Will probably never again buy sheets at JC Penny, Macy's, etc.

Four stars because I was hoping thistle would be a grayish lavender color based on the online photos; these are definitely lavender (particularly vivid in the morning light) and not as neutral of a color as I imagined; they still work for us, but heads up to anyone debating this color!

Percale is crisp and extremely comfortable with a good skin-feel, but not satiny or wrinkle-free, I plan to iron the top where I can see the wrinkles most. I also love the extra Cal-King length. They are slick, I like that, drying them like you said to really left them less wrinkled. They didn’t fit as tight as I wanted. I was in need of a better mattress pad (mine was just a cheap thing from WalMart) I bought me a GOOD one ! Boom :boom: that did the trick ! I would recommend theses sheets. I'm a hot sleeper through and through and my room gets a lot of sunlight in the morning so I did an overhaul of my bedding, got rid of my cotton sateen sheets and went with Percale, and switched my duvet for a light quilt. They're not as silky smooth as sateen, but they definitely keep my cooler through the night. I woke up and I wasn't hot or sweaty and the sheets still felt "crisp". Will definitely be buying more!

I LOVE MY SHEETS!. My pandemic purchase was a new set of Riley sheets. I ordered them based on Wirecutter.com's flattering review. I admit they're different from what I expected. I have the smoothest no-iron percale pillow cases, which an old boyfriend removed from his mother's linen closet decades ago. I was hoping the Riley sheets would be like them. They're not. Instead they have texture. Heft. And I love them all the same. I use a spray bottle of lavender scented water to smooth them out (tap water with a few drops of lavender essence added). The spray makes the sheets REALLY cozy. I feel like I'm staying at a hotel.

The oatmeal color is a versatile, warm neutral.

So glad Wirecutter recommended!. Gorgeous sheet set (fitted flat, top and pillowcases)! I pursue percale because it's the only type of sheet fabric that's cool-ish for sleeping. (Nothing is perfect, unfortunately.) I would never have found Riley were it not for the New York Time's Wirecutter service. Queen sheets fit our bed well, the color is fabulous and they wash well. I only wish they were no-iron, but I guess Im dating myself and the days of no-iron sheets are just past. These don't wrinkle too badly, though. I'll buy more. And, do I dare say that I LOVE that I haven't been pestered with a daily e-mail to buy something more?

Holy Sheet! I've finally found some great sheets!. I have been searching for true crisp, cool, high quality percale sheets. Purchased sets from numerous other merchants, only to be disappointed and needing to return. I finally decided to spend the extra money and try Riley. It must be true, you get what you pay for, because I could tell the quality difference immediately upon opening the package. Exactly what I have been looking for! That being said, the sheets are a tad bit rough (scratchy) at first use, but from the quality of the fiber you can tell they will continue to soften up with each additional wash & use. Yes, they are wrinkly, but that is just the nature of the material and, to be honest, there are ways to improve that if that is something that bothers you (using the steam setting on the dryer helps substantially, as does folding them while they are still warm from the dryer.) Overall, I love them and would highly recommend.

Navy Blue Percale Sheet Review. I decided to order these sheets based on NY Times Wirecutter review and I love them. The color is absolutely rich and looks beautiful with my silver Ethan Allen sleigh bed and white/silver/navy patterned duvet. The sheets are cool, soft and seem very well made. Only downside, I did need to iron the top of the sheet and the pillow cases lightly…I suspect after a few more washings that won't be necessary.

Comfy!. The sheets are very comfortable. They have been washed twice and are soft. They do come out of the dryer wrinkled. Hoping the wrinkles relax over time. My only issue is that when I order a “sheet set” I expect there will be a top and bottom sheet. I didn’t realize I would have to buy a separate top sheet. Because they were rated so highly I chose to spend the extra money.

They were sooo thin, that we went looking for an alternative that was sized for our Casper king bed. We have washed these sheets twice now. They take a bit longer to dry because they are thicker. If you don't like wrinkles around the edges, you will need an iron. But these sheets are soft and crisp – just in time for summer!

I do feel I need to comment on the fact that the queen flat sheet is really quite short in width, however. We have a Zenhaven mattress that isn't overly thick, with no topper, but the sheets barely tuck in, & are pulled out immediately after you get into bed. I bought the sheets a couple of years ago, so maybe you've addressed the issue, but it's really a shame that these otherwise perfect sheets have that one glaring defect.

Crisp and soft . . . is that possible?. I have been a fan of high quality sheets for a decade, going from brand to brand in search of the best set. Organic cotton percale was beautifully crisp, but felt a little rough against the skin. A top Insta-brand was soft and supple, but had poor colors and faded instantly.
And then came Riley (via NY Times Wirecutter). Is it possible? These sheets are silky soft to slide into at night, and after washing make right up into tight corners and smooth turn-downs. Crisp and soft – literally everything I've been looking for.
I'll be curious to see how they wear over time, but at the moment, it'll be Riley bedding from now on.

The sheet is basically new – only washed twice, once before using. For this reason, I’ve given the sheet a 4 – duration is important and I don’t yet know how well it will wear/last. But, I like the sheet.
