    100% Cotton Percale!. I have a relatively deep memory foam mattress. Finding decent, affordable, fitted sheets that cover the bottom of the mattress hasn't been easy. In the past, I bought sheets from stores; the labels and salespeople assured me they would fit. They didn't. These sheets fit, and they're 100% cotton percale, so no pilling.

    Best sheets. Period. I've previously bought bed sheets that have marketed themselves as "softest" "most luxurious" etc… but none have lived up to the hype until now. I can say without questions these are the best and without a doubt the best quality I have ever slept on. Only negative I found is its very hard out of bed in the morning now with these new sheets as don't want to leave – too damn comfy!

    Felt great. I followed the directions- warm water, gentle cycle, dry low. They came out nice and fluffy, and they fit perfectly. The generous size allows the fitted sheet to wrap under the bottom of the mattress, where the elastic secures it nicely. I slept well last night. The sheets felt great. I'll be ordering another set.

    Recommended!!. Gray color is good, feels good…much better than sateen microfiber stuff. Deep pockets fit thick mattress, probably 16 or 18 inches. These are recommended.

    Plan on buying more. I read some reviews that said they are not soft, but I washed them before putting them on and they are fantastic. I do not use any type of fabric softener, only wool balls in the dryer. I am planning on purchasing another set for my bed and sets for all beds in the house.

You will absolutely love sleeping in them and resist rising from these wonderful cotton sheets each morning. Yes, they wrinkle after washing them but they are just like any real cotton items…fold them fresh out of dryer and they wont be as wrinkled. If you're a freak, iron them…they are worth it!! Love Love Love the cool crispy feel of them.

    luxurious like hotel. I read percale sheets were the way to go during summer and they are not kidding. I washed these and they do end up wrinkley after washing but you can iron them before putting them on the bed. I personally don't care, the sheets will end up wrinkled after sleeping in them anyway. The sheets feel so luxurious to me, like hotel sheets.

    Wonderful summer sheet. The fitted percale sheet is soft, light and cool. The sheet fits well on a deep mattress. I live in an area that gets very hot in the summer. Even with air conditioning, I would feel overly warm when I slept on other sheets. The Riley percale sheet makes me feel comfortable and sufficiently cool. As a result, I've slept much better since getting this sheet. I highly recommend the percale sheet.

My only complaint is that the sheet pops off pretty regularly. I think the elastic is not strong enough to keep the sheet in place.

I was a little skeptical because how much better could one set of sheets be from any other set? Uh, a lot better.     Not itchy but not super soft like I was hoping – will wash a few more times to see if they get softer. Pillow cases have a nice flap to tuck in the pillow but they get very wrinkly if you do not immediately take out of the dryer.

    Pretty good, not great. Overall the sheet are pretty good. They feel a little papery/crisp (even after a few washes) which some people like but I think they're a little too papery. My biggest gripe with the sheets is how they wash/dry. Out of the dryer, the sheets and especially the edges of them are completely wrinkled and scrunched. I don't really want to iron my sheets to have wrinkle free bedding. So overall, they're pretty good, especially if you like that crisp/papery feel but don't wash/dry well.

    Beautiful fabric but much too large. I have an organic latex Eastern king bed with several additional layers of sheepskin on the top. It is a 15" deep mattress made taller by the extra mattress pads.

    This sheet is at least four inches too deep. It does not stay tucked in and I wake up in quite a mess every morning. On the plus side the fabric could not be of a higher quality or more well crafted.

    I chose to keep it but would not buy the fitted sheet for my bed again.

    Overall satisfied, one small quibble. I shop through Wirecutter and Riley was the pick that actually had CA King, so I decided to give it a try. My biggest concern was whether the pockets would be deep enough to stay on my thick old Tempurpedic mattress (pocket depth measurements are never really all that clear). They seemed a little shallow but have stayed put. The CA King measurements are a little off – the corner seams pinch in towards the head and foot oddly instead of being square with the mattress corners. Not really an issue for me, but some may not like it. A *great* perk for this size, however, is the labels on each edge. CA Kings are nearly square and it can be hard to determine which way the sheet is supposed to go. These sheets have clear "side" and "head/foot" labels on the seams, big thumbs up for that!

    Riley percale sheets are top notch quality. Purchased a Sferra set that was 4x the price at the same time and honestly can barely tell the difference. Blown away by the quality.     Best of All Worlds. Lovely sheets. The first properly nice set I’ve bought. Really soft and crisp, both. I’m a hot sleeper and my partner gets chilly easily—both of us find these a great improvement from other sheets we’ve had. In our humid clime, linen options tend to feel a bit damp, where this set feels airy without the sort of textile rub of those sorts of fabrics.

    The sheets seem well-made, and have a nice fit and flex to them—snug, but enough range to fit all sorts of mattresses, which is a nice perk, as our mattress is a kind of odd shape and material, and tends to stretch other sheet sets we’ve had so that they’re taut enough to pop right off of a corner, which is no good.

    Nice little details in the stitching that make the design interesting, but subtle, and generally a delightful surprise for what—for this particular buyer’s budget—was a whole lot to spend on sheets.

    They wash and dry well, and don’t seem to get tangled up or water logged the way a lot of sheets we’ve had have tended to do.

    Overall, a nice bit of luxury for a place where it really counts.

    Love these percale sheets. I grew up with percale sheets, and nothing else will do for me. I've tried inexpensive percale sheets, and they don't last. Then I decided to splurge on *good* percale sheets, and I'm glad I did. After a year of use, my original Riley fitted sheet is still going strong and it feels wonderful against my skin. The actual colors are more muted than the color name would imply, but they go well with my quilts so I don't mind (e.g.) that navy blue is a dustier shade of navy than expected. One suggestion: It's great that you label "side" and "top/bottom", but why not label all four sides?

Yes, one needs to grab them out of the dryer so the wrinkles don't set in, a small price to pay. And the crinkly-ness decreases slightly over time. I actually have come to like that part of percale, so much better than hot and mushy of either those "cozy" sheets. The fit is great too on our king bed, no yanking to get them to fit. Can't recommend more highly.

    So glad Wirecutter recommended Riley!. I found Riley only because their sheets were recently recommended by the New York Time's Wirecutter service. Bought a green sheet set (fitted flat, top and pillowcases) that is absolutely gorgeous! I pursue percale because it's the only fabric that's cool-ish for sleeping. (Nothing is perfect, unfortunately.) Both bottom and top queen sheets fit our bed well, the green color is amazing, and they wash well. I wish they were no-iron, but this matters less with a fitted bottom sheet than the top, and it didn't wrinkle too badly in the laundry. I also like that they're from Portugal. I'll buy from Riley again. And, do I dare say that I LOVE that I haven't been pestered with a daily e-mail to buy something more?

    Holy Sheet! I finally found some great sheets!. I have been searching for true crisp, cool, high quality percale sheets. Purchased sets from numerous other merchants, only to be disappointed and needing to return. I finally decided to spend the extra money and try Riley. It must be true, you get what you pay for, because I could tell the quality difference immediately upon opening the package. Exactly what I have been looking for! That being said, the sheets are a tad bit rough (scratchy) at first use, but from the quality of the fiber you can tell they will continue to soften up with each additional wash & use. Yes, they are wrinkly, but that is just the nature of the material and, to be honest, there are ways to improve that if that is something that bothers you (using the steam setting on the dryer helps substantially, as does folding them while they are still warm from the dryer.) The only other downside is the thin elastic band on the fitted sheet. I prefer a heftier, wider band as it tends to hold up longer over time. Overall, I love them and would highly recommend.

    Percale Fitted Sheet Review. Absolutely terrific fitted sheet. I have an incredibly thick Shifman inner spring mattress and I needed a sheet with a generous fit. I love the little tags that tell you which are the sides or the ends of the sheet which make it much easier to put on a king bed. Very soft and cool feel, the navy color is rich and didn't bleed when washed in cold water.

There ends of being a lot of extra fabric which ends up making the sheets not fit tightly and smoothly. They bunch of and I find it mildly annoying. I think the issue arises due to the fact that they only make one sized sheet that fits California king and king sized beds. If they had a specifically designed king sheet for memory foam mattress I would be very happy with the sheets

Prior to this sheet, we ordered popular sheets from Amazon, which were nice and soft at first, but began to pill (making them scratchy) only a few months after our first use. We live in Florida and routinely get sand in the bed (we have a large dog who jumps up there as well), so I wanted a fitted sheet that could withstand this abuse and still be cool and soft.     Like these a lot, but. I bought these sheets based on a stellar review on Wirecutter. I usually find Wirecutter reviews to be spot-on but this time, well, IMHO not totally on target. I purchased the percale sheets in a lilac color that was really nice. The percale felt smooth and I slept well with the sleep set on my bed. That said, what's lacking is weight. These sheets are kind of light weight and feel a bit flimsy.
    I wanted a heavier-weight sheet like a hotel sheet. I suppose time will tell as to whether these sheets will hold up. Seems like the reviews don't really see this issue so maybe it's me but was hoping for a weightier sheet and this isn't it.
    I may return as they have a generous 60 day return policy.

    Great sheets every time!. A smooth yet soft finish and cool enough for a hot sleeper while still warm enough for a cold sleeper, these sheets are the real deal. I’ve purchased several variations of Riley’s percale sheets and they never disappoint.

    The one thing I wish Riley added to their sheets was a firmer elastic band. I’m a particularly sensitive individual and wrinkles in sheets are uncomfortable for me when sleeping. After a couple of nights of sleep I need to really tug these tightly into the mattress again to get all the folds and creases out. I tried the percale sheets from TheOneBed because I thought they’d solve this problem for me, and they did, but the sheets just aren’t a match in terms of quality and comfort, and their color selection is lacking. If Riley could add a feature like the elastic bands from TheOneBed, Riley’s percale sheets would be 6 out of 5 stars for me.

    Crisp and soft . . . is that possible?. I have been a fan of high quality sheets for a decade, going from brand to brand in search of the best set. Organic cotton percale was beautifully crisp, but felt a little rough against the skin. A top Insta-brand was soft and supple, but had poor colors and faded instantly.

    And then came Riley (via NY Times Wirecutter). Is it possible? These sheets are silky soft to slide into at night, and after washing make right up into tight corners and smooth turn-downs. Crisp and soft – literally everything I've been looking for.

    Fitted Sheet too tight/small. All my bedding and bath towels are Riley Home and I've been super happy with it. The one exception is the fitted sheet. It's too small/tight for my queen mattress, Ive never been able to get all the corners fully on. I don't have a particularly deep mattress — Saatva Classic Mattress, Queen : 11.5" Plush Soft — so not sure what the issue is. It's a pain though every time I change my sheets.

    This is my second sheet set from Riley. I have also purchased the organic cotton set. I don’t love either. I am meticulous about the care. I follow directions on how to wash and dry, but both sets come out wrinkled so bad, and neither set is soft. Overall, they look so sloppy on my bed. Definitely not something I would expect for the amount of money I paid. I love my down comforter from Riley, but won’t be buying any more sheets. Lesson learned.

The NYT has a review section and they believe Riley provide the best sheets and Duvet covers possible so I forked out 280 $ for what I believe is a good product but it’s definitely not better or justifies the cost.     I'm very happy with my Riley sheets. I had bought a set a few years ago after a recommendation from Wirecutter. I was so happy with them that I bought another set this year. They are crisp and a pleasure to sleep on. They get better with washes. One little thing I like is that there is a tag indicating "side" and "top" so I always know how to put them on the bed…not always so easy with kins sized sheets!

    Originally I gave a 2 star as the sheet didn’t feel soft. Customer service contacted me and explained the nature of cotton sheet the more it’s washed the softer it gets. I washed it one more time and after a week, I LOVE it.
    This was my first purchase from Riley. I’m impressed with not only the product, but also the customer service implying a good leadership. Products are a bit pricy, but you will be treated as a luxury customer. :pray:

    A full size percale fitted sheet available to purchase individually. I was using a $20 Target percale fitted sheet, and it ripped apart after a couple of years. I researched for a high-quality fitted sheet that was available in full size without needing to buy an expensive full set (with a flat sheet, pillowcases, etc.) e.g. L.L. Bean's. It feels significantly more substantial than my previous Target sheet; time will tell if it will last.

    The very best percale around. This my second pair of percale sheets from Riley…on top of the 2 percale duvet covers that I have purchased. Let’s just say that I am hooked!! I have purchased percale sheets from some of the high end home store stores in the past, but nothing is as crisps, smooth and comfortable as the ones from Riley. Each wash they get softer. And yes, they do get wrinkled like and other percale. I ironed them once just for kicks…and OMG, it was like the best bed I’ve ever slept in. Now iron every week…it is sooo worth it.

    Great summer sheets but lots of wrinkles. I bought these Percale sheets for my toddler who sleeps extremely hot. I love how these sheets feel and it seems to be doing a great job and keeping my toddler cooler overnight. The sheets also dry fairly quickly so any sweaty puddles are dried faster and saves me time when washing sheets.

    The sheets do come out very wrinkled from the dryer but it hadnt bothered me since I pull taut on the bed. For the more keen on no wrinkles, definitely skip this one because you'll never keep the wrinkles away!

    Simply the best. Riley's percale is simply the best: soft to the skin, breathable and colors that don't fade after numerous washes. I've tried other premium brands, but truth be told, I can't see the wisdom in buying linens that costs twice as much for equal-to-lesser satisfaction. I love the colors and fabrics of all the many linens I've bought from Riley, the customer service is outstanding. For those color matching, FYI, the silver color in percale has undertones of a marine blue/green. Very attractive and soothing.
    If I were to offer a suggestion, I would love some simple floral patterns and perhaps a slightly more substantial elastic around the bottom to grip the mattress more tightly.

    Surprising turn. Great cooling sheets. I put them in dryer under fast dry and thought I had shrunk them. In fact I had forgotten I had turned my mattress 1/4 turn (which felt great). But sheets didn’t fit anymore.
    Today I put the sheets on permanent press dry and new sheets came out less wrinkled. Also turned sheets 1/4 turn and fit perfectly again! Love them more.

They do get a bit wrinkled in the dryer if I don't pull them out pronto, but they smooth out nicely on the bed (one day I will be empress of the universe and have a staff member devoted solely to ironing my linens, but alas, not yet…).
